Privacy Policy
How imagesplitter.live handles your information, in plain language.
Last updated: October 10, 2026The short version: your images never leave your device. We use cookies and Google AdSense to show ads that keep this tool free. You can control ad personalization at any time.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information imagesplitter.live ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built our image splitter so that it works inside your browser, and we try to collect as little information as possible.
By using this website you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Your images stay on your device
The image splitter runs entirely in your web browser. When you add a picture, it is read and cut into pieces on your own device. Your images are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see, store or share them. When you close or refresh the page, the images and the pieces are gone.
The pieces you download are created locally and saved straight to your device.
Information we collect
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web server and the services we use may automatically receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the page that referred you to us. This information does not identify you by name.
Information you give us
If you contact us by email or through the contact page, we receive your name, your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to answer you.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
How we use information
- To run, maintain and secure the website
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- To reply to your messages and requests
- To show advertising that helps pay for the free tool
- To detect fraud, abuse and technical problems
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help a site remember your settings and measure how it is used. Cookies on this site fall into these groups:
- Essential cookies keep the site working and secure.
- Analytics cookies help us count visits and see which pages are used, if we use an analytics service.
- Advertising cookies are set by Google and other ad partners to show and measure ads, as explained in the next section.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work as expected, and the ads you see may be less relevant.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads on this website. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies, and other technologies such as web beacons, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Google uses advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) and may use device identifiers, IP address and other data to show relevant ads, limit how often you see an ad and measure how well ads perform.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info, or in the EU at youronlinechoices.com.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We do not control the cookies that advertisers and ad networks set. Those companies have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
Analytics
We may use web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to measure traffic and understand how people use the site. These tools may set cookies and collect information such as pages visited, time on site, approximate location and device details. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third-party services
To work properly, our pages may load scripts, fonts and other files from third-party providers, such as content delivery networks. For example, the ZIP download feature loads a small code library from a public content delivery network (cdnjs). When your browser requests these files, the provider can see your IP address and basic browser details. These providers do not receive your images.
Our website may also link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, so please read their policies.
Consent for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before cookies or similar technologies are used for personalized advertising or for measuring ads. You can accept, refuse or change your choice at any time using the cookie or privacy settings message shown on the site. If no choice is made, only non-personalized advertising is shown.
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on your consent (for advertising cookies) and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website and answering your messages.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy
- Ask us to correct or delete your personal information
- Object to or restrict some uses of your information
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier, without affecting past use
- Complain to your local data protection authority
California residents
Under California law you may have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings (linked above) or the privacy settings on the site, and we do not treat you differently for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email us at contact@imagesplitter.live. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
How long we keep information
We keep messages you send us only as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the request, then delete them. Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited time, then deleted or anonymized. Your images are never stored by us.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures, such as HTTPS, to protect the website. Because your images are processed on your own device, they never travel to us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check this page now and then. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
